Sarah Corkery & Nicole Maguire

Sarah Corkery
Sara Corkery is an accomplished guitarist who was mentored by the legendary Declan Sinnott. As a young girl she became greatly interested in the fingerstyle playing of Doc Watson and the mandolin tunes of Bill Monroe which nurtured her love of ‘old time’ folk music. Sara is influenced by artists such as Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Ralph Stanley ,The Carter Family and Shawn Colvin.
Having previously been a bandmate in vocal harmony group The Joyful Mysteries, Sara reunited last year with Aine Whelan to release their cd called “Don’t Mind The Rain’. Sara has toured extensively throughout Ireland, the U.K. and the rest of Europe with the above mentioned Joyful Mysteries and with Dublin based harmony group The Fallen Angels.
These series of gigs with Nicole have given Sara the opportunity to showcase a selection of songs by the artists who have made such an impact on her musical career to date.
