<br/>MENDOCINO are a Folk/Country Band in the South East of Ireland.The band was formed in 2010 by former Hank Halfhead, Swinging Swine and Glee Club fiddler and singer Hugh O’Carroll. Hugh enlisted friends Evan Grace and Ryland Teifi, both multi instrumentalists and award winning singer/songwriters in their own right. Together this talented trio has been touring Ireland and the UK and playing festivals to great acclaim. The band recordet their debut album ‘The Steep Ravine’ in France with renowed producer Dave Odlum last year and it has been universally well received, The coming months will see the boys commence work on their new album as well as performing in Ireland, the UK and on the Continent.
- Support act on the night will be Kevin Garland a very talented young singer/guitarist from Nenagh. A beautiful singing voice and subtle guitar playing give him a very distinctive sound. Kevin is a performer on the first leg of what promises to be a great musical journey.

Dunaill specialise in folk songs and ballads from their native Waterford and beyond. Their subtle harmonies and soaring vocals are accompanied by an array of instruments including Harp, Flute bodhran and guitar.Dunaills recently released album ‘Saltwater Joys’ was recorded at Crocanoir and we are delighted to welcome them back for a live rendition of all their favourite songs.

If you ever fancied trying your hand at creative writing now is your chance. Well known writer and broadcaster John MacKenna will host a two day workshop entitled ‘Seasons of the heart’ on November 17th & 18th.
This two-day workshop will explore the ways in which we can draw on nature and our own life experiences to create ﬁction, poems and memoir. Participants are asked to bring two or three photographs and/or mementoes which are important in their lives. They are also asked to bring outdoor clothing and footwear as part of the workshop will involve working outside.
The two days will be an amalgam of writing; discussing and experiencing the effects of the seasons of the heart and the seasons of nature on writing.
John MacKenna’s latest book, Where Sadness Begins, a collection of poems, has just been published by Salmon Poetry.
Arty will be joined on the night by Jim Rooney and Mick Daly- Jim Rooney is an American music producer whose credits include Nanci Griffith’s Other Voices, Other Rooms, Hal Ketchum’s Past the Point of Rescue, Iris DeMent’s Infamous Angel, John Prine’s Aimless Love and many other widely hailed albums.
Arty McGlynn is in demand as a top guitarist and record producer. He has played with everyone from Van Morrison to Mark Knopfler and Liam O’Flynn. Mick Daly has played in many of Ireland’s best known groups including 4 Men & A Dog Any Old Time & the Lee Valley String Band.

We welcome Johnny Duhan to Crocanoir Music Venue. Johnny is probably Ireland’s most undervalued song-writer. The Limerick man is best know for his penning of ‘The Voyage’, covered successfully by Christy Moore.
